Ryan Gosling leads in the new film Project Hail Mary, which is an adaptation of the popular novel, and has ignited a whirlwind of emotions from fans in theatres worldwide. 

The film follows a highly overqualified middle school science teacher, who was rejected by the science world after claiming that life is possible without water. The teacher, Mr. Ryland Grace, is approached one day by Eva Stratt, the leader of the international task force that is trying to save the world. The sun is dying. There is little time left, so she calls on the best scientists around the world to figure something out.

With about 30 years left before the sun’s energy is drained, and the world goes into total starvation, the clock is ticking. Gosling delivers an emotional yet uplifting performance and makes an unexpected friend on his unexpected journey.

The film has already received astonishingly great reviews upon its recent release. Its official release was on March 20, 2026, but many theaters offered an early access viewing on March 16, 2026. Because of this, the film was able to receive praise from fans before it even officially released, and even entered the Letterbox Top 100 before being officially released.
