With a star-studded cast featuring Elizabeth Olsen, Miles Teller, and Callum Turner, the worldwide hit Eternity has sparked a wave of conversation across the Bishop Gorman campus.
Eternity explores a world where souls have seven days to decide where – and with whom – they will spend the rest of existence.The main character, Joan, has recently passed. She finds two men who she was in love with on Earth, and must choose which one she wants to spend eternity with.
“I really enjoyed the movie because it was a fun way to think about the afterlife,” said Olivia Gayheart ‘27. She also stated, “The character I connected with the most is Joan (Elizabeth Olsen) . She had a really fun personality.”
“If I were to choose an afterlife to end up with, I think I would choose the Paris afterlife because it seems cool and I love traveling to Paris,” added Gayheart.
“I thought Eternity was a good movie. I thought it was a cute romantic comedy movie,” said Adelina Grigoryan ‘26. The movie made her think of where she would like to spend all of eternity. “The afterlife I would choose would probably be the one with the beach. I love going to the beach, so I think I could probably spend my eternity there.”
Eternity was a powerful movie, making watchers really think about what eternity really is. It was a fun way to create a story about the afterlife, letting people really think about their relationships and friendships they have.
