The Bishop Gorman Gaels defended their state title in a dominant way, sweeping the Faith Lutheran Crusaders to claim a second straight Nevada state hockey championship.
The Gaels clinched the best-of-three series with a 6-1 victory on Friday night, Jan. 16 followed up with a dominant 11-0 shutout win on Saturday. Jan. 17. The sweep that capped off the championship restated that the Gaels deserve their place at the top of Nevada high school hockey. A team driven not just by their skill, but by the tight bond they’ve built within the locker room

That bond will be put to the test as the Gaels are heading to Plymouth, Minnesota, on March 18-22 for the USA High School Hockey Nationals to compete against the best high school teams around the country.
