Bishop Gorman turned up the magic with a Disneyland-themed homecoming; this week, students and faculty dressed up to bring the celebration to life.
The dress-up days included Disney Adult Monday, Toon Town Tuesday, It’s a Small World Wednesday, Park Hopper Thursday, and Extreme Blue and Orange Friday.
At Gorman, it’s a tradition to dress up during homecoming week to bring the theme to life. “I do think that dress up days bring the school together because they really bring out the school spirit, and it is a way more fun atmosphere when everyone is doing it together and really putting effort into it,” said Azavier McDaniel ‘27.
Homecoming Week is an opportunity for students to ditch their uniforms and show off their personality through fun dress- up days.
Students often team up with friends to coordinate their outfits and show off their school spirit. “Getting to partner up with my friends for some wacky costume ideas. Like last year when for 70’s day we dressed up as the founding fathers from the 1770’s when the term 70’s was referring to the 1970’s. A harmless and funny bit we did that others seemed to find amusing,” said Devin Dimond ‘26.
Homecoming week is filled with both firsts and lasts and for seniors it marks their final high school Homecoming. “Homecoming week to me means that we get to be a part of a tradition that has been going on for generations and we are now becoming a part of Gorman’s history,” said Jenelle Trujillo ‘26.
From princess crowns to heroic costumes the Gaels took this homecoming to the best magical level. Making all of Gorman the happiest campus on earth.
