On Tuesday, Aug. 12 the Bishop Gorman Class of 2026 kicked off their senior year with the annual Senior Breakfast. The community meal brought the class together to celebrate the start of their last year of high school.
Walking into breakfast was both exciting and bittersweet, as it marked the beginning of the end—the start of a year full of senior lasts. It’s now time for the seniors to lead, to shine, and to leave their mark. “We were now the seniors that we used to look up to. It felt almost like an honor to be the oldest, most experienced student compared to the other classes at BGHS,” said class president, Cade Seitman ‘26.
As the breakfast came to a close, many seniors began to be hit with the realization that there is not much time left in their high school careers. “Realizing that there’s not many school days until we graduate made me want to take in every last moment,” emphasized Jenelle Trujillo ‘26.
What once felt so far away is now happening, the final year and the final memories. The countdown has officially begun.
