Bishop Gorman students kicked off this school year with the first school pep rally on August 16th.
The pep rally celebrated the beginning of the school year welcoming the new teachers on campus with an introduction and colorful lei. Seniors ran into the House of Glory and took their places in the Senior section of the gym for their “last first assembly,” For the freshman, it was their first time attending a Bishop Gorman assembly. Freshman Paizley Cogswell ‘28 says that she “loved the energy of the environment and watching the seniors run into their section.”
The Bishop Gorman cheer teams and the dance team performed “the cheer performance gave the assembly some life and the talent they showed was amazing,” stated Sofia Romo’26.
To wrap up the pep rally, Father Knee prayed over the varsity football team for a successful win against Hawaii’s Kahuku Raiders. But the true highlight was the faculty, staff, students, and guests singing Happy Birthday to Father Knee.
