Bishop Gorman women’s golf team came in second place behind Coronado High School, only losing by three strokes, in the state championship on Oct. 14.
Gorman won the event with a team score of even par. Individually, the two medalists from Gorman were Samantha Harris who placed 5th and Tiffany Park who placed 6th.
Individually, Harris won the state championship. “I shot a total of two over par +2, for the two days and beat Faith Lutheran’s Madison Perez by one stroke,” Harris said.
Throughout the season, Gorman earned a third-place finish at the Grey Hawk Invitational and placed second in three of their four league matches. The Gaels picked up their first league win, showing steady progress as the season continued.
“Overall, this season has been super fun and a great opportunity to improve our individual skills and strengthen our team spirit,” Harris ‘26 explained.
