With two invitational meets already behind them, Bishop Gorman’s cross country team is hitting its stride and building momentum as the 2025 season picks up speed.
Both the boys’ and girls’ teams opened the season with impressive showings at the Red Rock Running Company Invitational on Aug. 23 and the Larry Burgess-Las Vegas Invitational on Sept. 6. Everyone is putting their all into the team and we have seen great results… “ Caleb Avakian ‘27 said, “…the boys team got first and second in our two meets.”
Confidence is running high for Bishop Gorman’s cross country team after back-to-back standout performances in their first two meets. “Everybody is improving together, and many people have gotten personal records,” Amelia Giger ‘28 said. The team is looking to carry this momentum forward into the next meet where they will be competing in the Truckee Invitational on Sat, Sept 27.
With the season strong, the goal for the season is “…make it to state” Madeline Labay ’26 said.
