Bishop Gorman’s D3, D2, and D1 varsity hockey teams all went undefeated at home, winning three games each in The ADHSHL Vegas Showcase.
Teams from the Anaheim Ducks High School Hockey League traveled to Las Vegas to showcase their skills and team chemistry in a preseason showdown.
One of the D1 goalies Dylan Kelly ‘26, said, “the team performed excellently, and we definitely were able to show our chemistry off.” With the D1 team winning state last year, they’re looking to defend their title and come back even stronger.
With all three teams going undefeated, they still have room for improvement. D2 forward, Mariano Sanchez ‘29 explained “We were in the penalty box a lot, a couple ejections, but moving forward we will correct those.”
D2 had a close last game, with a shootout victory against the Santa Margarita Eagles. The game was a tight and intense battle till the end.
D3 outpaced their opponents in every game, winning against Edison Highschool 6-0, La Jolla Country day 10-0, and Los Alamitos High School 22-0. Seamus Mcdonald ‘28 a forward on D3, explained “The team executed plays really well, we went over plays during practices, we applied them, and that’s why we scored so many goals.”
