The new school year roared to life on Thursday afternoon as Bishop Gorman students, staff, and athletes packed the Main Gym for the first pep rally — setting the tone for another memorable year.
Between a shouting competition, a thrilling game of musical chairs, and welcoming new teachers, the bleachers were filled with spirit. Especially when it came to the incoming freshmen, the pep rally was the perfect way to get students excited for the school year. “It showed me that all of the classes have a lot of energy, which has made me really look forward to future assemblies, games, etcetera.” said Peyton Nowacki ‘29.
Bishop Gorman’s ASG, the masterminds behind the pep rally, worked hard to put on the high-energy event. “Though preparations started before school, we really started planning the pep rally the second school started,” said ASG Social Media Coordinator Ellie Patta ‘26. “ASG worked together to decide what games we wanted to play, how we wanted to set up the senior run-through, and so much more.”
The pep rally did exactly what it was supposed to: get everyone ready and spirited for another exciting year. And the student body had no complaints. “I loved getting to sit with all of my friends and fight for a spot in musical chairs,” said Jackson Daseler ‘28. “I can’t wait to see where the upcoming school year takes me.”
