On May 1, Bishop Gorman’s baseball team honored their seniors, celebrating years of leadership, dedication, and personal development.
On senior night the players played their last home game against Legacy High School, walking out with their parents and giving their mothers roses. Each senior announced what college they would be attending in the fall and whether or not they are playing baseball in the future. Finally, they were given a charcoal painting of the whole team created by Kekoa Young ‘25’s sister.
Jacob Freitas ’25 said that senior night, “shows the final ending of my career here, playing baseball, walking out with my family and seeing my friends walk out with their families..”
Additionally Freitas said, “The team shaped my high school experience and made it better by seeing the team inside school and outside of school so you make a lot of friends.”
Senior night was a nostalgic experience that meant a lot to the seniors on the baseball team. James Whitaker ’25 said, “I’ve been at Gorman three and a half years, so time has flown by. It’s been kind of crazy, you know, the growth with my teammates, and the experience was eye opening.”
