As this school year comes to an end, girls are searching for the perfect dress to wear to graduation.
Although there are a couple trends that are all the rage, some girls wanted to pick their own outfit to mix things up.
Jillian Grant ‘25 is a close friend of Juarez and has also already bought her dress. She bought an off-the-rack dress from Anthropology and specified that “it’s not something I’d normally wear.” Grant said “I wanted something formal and nice, and my budget didn’t matter.” Her dress is black and has butterflies on it. Grant perfectly exemplifies “stepping out of your comfort zone”, by buying a dress that she normally would not buy.
Leiana Juarez ‘25 followed the white dress trend, but kept it unique to her liking. “I bought it from a boutique in California, and my budget didn’t matter.” A few of her friends also got ahead and already bought their dresses. When looking for details, she said “I got a simple, off-the-rack white satin dress so it wasn’t flashy under my gown, but I still want to stand out.” Juarez stayed true to her personality and style, but chose wisely since this is her last year to dress out.
Lillian Martin ‘25 concluded the white dress trend and said, “I chose to wear white because it’s a symbol of new beginnings and new traditions, and I know a lot of girls wear white as a trend just like a wedding dress”. White is supposed to represent purity and starting new things. “It’s basically like me moving on to the next chapter.”
