The halls of Bishop Gorman came alive on December 2 with the ASG door decorating tradition, infusing the campus with the holiday spirit.
Each ASG member is tasked with decorating a staff member’s classroom door that follows the staff member’s chosen theme. This gives faculty and staff the opportunity to express their Christmas spirit and have ASG students bring those ideas to life.
ASG students worked hard over the Thanksgiving holiday on their decorations to boost school spirit and even help spark conversation between students and teachers regarding the doors’ backstory. This tradition means something special to every teacher and “gives teachers an opportunity to express themselves,” said Daniella Desio.
This tradition also serves as a reminder that even small efforts can have a significant impact on the overall school environment. As the campus presents these holiday decorations, students and staff are reminded that the little things can bring joy and foster a sense of community. “I feel like this tradition really helped me build stronger relationships with my teachers and see them in a more personal light,” said AJ Mazzara ‘27.
Ultimately, this tradition helps to create a more cheerful and comfortable environment that makes the holiday season at Bishop Gorman truly special.
