The candidates all brought fresh ideas and creative campaign strategies in order to engage better with their classmates through their speeches. The different students used this opportunity to speak about their different ideas and plans for the upcoming school year.
As they each settle into their roles, the freshmen face the exciting challenge of becoming a part of Bishop Gorman ASG.
The new Freshmen Class Vice President, Brayden Hartsell ‘28, says that he feels that “it might be difficult to understand everything immediately, as it is very hard transitioning to high school.” However, he feels ready and responsible for the new school year and will “bring a unique perspective in by understanding what the freshmen are experiencing.”
The group of freshmen each have their reasons for running and joining ASG, as it has gotten more and more exclusive over the years. They have to be more determined and want these positions more than anyone else.
Freshmen Class President Mychael Sistrunk ‘28, was motivated to run for student government because of “all the cool things and opportunities that the students get to experience.”
