NV Music Educators Association Solo and Ensemble

The Nevada Music Educators Association Solo and Ensemble was held at Del Sol High School on February 10. 

Two Bishop Gorman students received Superior ratings at the event, which is the highest rating someone can receive. 

One of those students, Adrienne Landerville ‘27 said, “It was nice, I was a little surprised.” 

The other student, Connor Reyburn ‘24, said, “I felt like I did really well on my solo and ensemble piece…It was a great experience. He got to play on the trombone and on the piano, and his parents got to watch. He commented, “I just enjoy playing solo pieces…It’s just fun to be heard.”

My name is Valerie Vazquez and I am currently a junior at Bishop Gorman High School. I am editor for current events with Eleana Locatelli but I also still enjoy writing for other sections like sports and entertainment. At Bishop Gorman I involve myself in many ways whether it is through sports, clubs, honor societies, writing for the newspaper, or volunteering. I am on the varsity cross country and the track & field team where I pole vault plus run mid distance. In my free time I enjoy spending my days outdoors, camping, listening to music, involving myself at my church, reading the Hunger Games, watching my comfort shows, hanging out with my friends, and being with my family.
