The Environmental club at Bishop Gorman contributes to the health of the global community, raises awareness about global warming, and helps limit human impact through service.
Environmental club president, Gabe Clemente ‘24 wants to ensure “that generations after him see the gorgeous life and environment that I am able to enjoy now.” Clemente also stated that, “the club is dedicated to preserving the environments they live in, tackling waste issues, global warming, and various other environmental issues.”
“We strive to educate others on environmental preservation and actively work towards making the world a better place than we found it,” Nina Marshall ‘24 Environmental club vice president stated. Students who are in the club “attend meetings on topics including pollution, gain service hours through volunteer work like park cleanups, and develop an appreciation for nature,” Marshall said.
The club has been to various events, including the Tortoise Trot at Red Rock which raised money and awareness to preserve our National Parks. Environmental club has also created Halloween rocks to raise awareness for a sustainable and eco-friendly Halloween.
