Tuesday, Nov. 7, The Bishop Gorman High School National Honor Society induction ceremony took place in the gym at 6 p.m.
Several juniors and seniors received certificates from one or more of the eight honor societies offered at Bishop Gorman.
The National Honors Society is the oldest and most prestigious co-curricular student organizations in American high schools. Currently there are more than 1.4 million students in the NHS. Most high schools require a minimum of a 3.2 GPA to be a member.
Mila Mayo ‘25, who was inducted into National Honor Society and Spanish National Honor Society, said, “[The ceremony] was pretty full. There were a lot of parents and students.” She later commented, “It felt like I accomplished something.”
Overall, the ceremony was a beautiful way to welcome students in the National Honor Societies offered at Bishop Gorman.
