This year’s homecoming dance was a success! With all the pink decorations and lights, the dance looked like a scene straight out of Barbie.
Kenna Ainu’u ‘26 commented, “Immediately, as you walk in, a huge sign similar to the ‘Welcome to Las Vegas’ sign greets you, except it’s pink with even pinker balloons all around it and it says, ‘Welcome to the Dreamhouse…’ Everything was very Barbie-like and shiny.”
In the main gym, music was playing and everyone was singing along to every song. In the senior plaza, students could hang out and talk without having to be in a big, loud crowd. Ainu’u noticed that “Most people went outside when it wasn’t a song they knew.”
On Friday, Sabrina Young ‘24 was crowned homecoming queen by Sage Barden ‘24. Then, at the dance Micah Alejado ‘24 was crowned king. After being crowned, the two shared a dance.
The homecoming dance concluded this year’s homecoming week. Ainu’u added “It was a lot of fun.”
