The men’s and women’s tennis teams at Bishop Gorman High School are prepared to make their way back onto the courts.
Olivia Napoli, sophomore on the women’s team, believes that the team has a lot of talent to make some noise this season, “I feel confident for this season because there are many solid players that will help the team.”
One of those talented players is Mark Lapko ‘25, who won the state championship last year for the men’s team.
Chris Yoon ‘26 is a member of the men’s team and also believes that the team is stronger than last year. He has also been doing some work of his own to make sure that he is prepared for the season, “I played by myself and took some lessons to prepare myself for the season,” he says. He also says that many of his teammates have been training and getting better everyday.
Both men and women’s tennis open the season against Coronado on August 28.
