Here at Bishop Gorman the Bell has a mind of its own. One day it can save students from being late, and another it is the cause of their detention.

At times students find it a great advantage that the bell is delayed a few minutes. Freshman Riev Angeles stated, “the bell being late is an advantage because it can help to be more prepared to leave to get to the next class on time.”

Although some might see this as an advantage there are always two sides to every scenario. Many students have games, sports practice after school, or other events they have to attend.
“The bell being late is a disadvantage because it keeps us in school an extra two minutes. It also gives me less time to get ready for events I have planned after school,” freshman student Janeza Jones shares.
