World baseball classic
The World Baseball Classic is only a few weeks away, as the best of the best compete for world dominance in the sport.
Every four years the World Baseball Classic takes place, and it’s always very exciting to see the best baseball players play for their country to see who’s the best. The USA won the last go around in 2017, and looking at how good their team is this year, they are looking to go back to back.
The World Baseball Classic is very similar to the FIFA World Cup where people travel the world and pay thousands of dollars to see some of these teams play. And just like the World Cup, the World Baseball Classic emphasizes the pride and culture of different countries as they display their athletic skills and talents on a world stage.
The USA squad consists of MLB stars Mike Trout, Aaron Judge, Mookie Betts, and Las Vegas phenom, Bryce Harper. Other admirable teams and players include: Shohei Ohtani with Team Japan, veteran Miguel Cabrera with Team Venezuela, and the flashy Francisco Lindor with Team Puerto Rico.
